I have been reading “The Happiness Project” by Gretchen Rubin (one of my favorite, practical authors) and she mentions that she quit her career as a lawyer to become a writer. It stuck me as so brave of her; to quit such a high profile, every-parent-wants-their-child-to-become career to pursue her love of writing. And then it dawned on me, I did the same. I was the Controller at one of the biggest companies in Wooster. But I wanted to own something, to build something, to connect more with the community (as well as have more time with and for my kids)!
Courage is a scary thing, but courage is by definition the ability to do something that frightens one! I am so thankful for a community that help me build something from nothing and that made this scary endeavor not as scary as it could have been!
